IngramJ Mar 6 2005, 09:29 PM Game: South Park: Ultimate Battle Genre: Adventure Creator: Scott Ewart Description: Barbera Streisand has transformed into Mecha-Streisand and all Hell is unleahed in South Park! Can our boys save it? Rating: 64% Review: Scott Ewart is a big borrower of direct South Park Graphics, just like Junkman is a big borrower of Non-South Park Graphics, and this ain't no different. (But it doesn't really matter smile.gif) Basically, you play as Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman around 10 missions in the game, which are all quite alike, because all of the levels have falling boulders and health-restoring snacky cakes, which is rather repetetive. Anyway, in Missions 1 and 2, Stan is making his way through a bunch of falling bridges, boulders and mutant turkeys. Mission 3: Kevin has become a zombie, then eats a big bite out of Kenny, killing him. The silly thing about a quickshot is that when Stan says "Oh my God they killed Kenny, etc., there is a Kill Kenny WAV., so speech bubbles which are used are not needed here. Anyway, the Genetics Lab is flooding, and Cartman needs to escape stat., in mission 4, he his dropping through platforms and avoiding pits, boulders and bats. In mission 5, Kyle and his friends have fallen into Hell, and Kyle has to defeat Death and his minions, despite him earning firepowers. Then Kenny in Mission 6 needs to get out of Hell as it collapses. Mission 7, Cartman has to defeat Satan's son, Damien. In Mission 8, * I think*, Kyle is in a lift filling up with zombies, which he must kill with his new weapon in order to advance. Mission 9: Kenny must defeat Satan, despite him dying again and you seeing the same cutscene as in mission 3. Then in the final mission, Stan must use his beloved Laser Gun to defeat Mecha-Streisand once and for all! After this, there is an ending scene with Cartman, and the credits. Scott mentioned that he wouldn't tell you the passwords, and neither will I. Overall, this game wasn't bad at all, I gave it a lower score because it's a little repetetive, some bits are too hard and the storyboard is a bit overboard, but this is still a worthy game to play, and if you do want to play it, go straight to the forums to find it, over 'n' out!
